What gave you the idea for the world of Noctum? More specifically, why did you choose a land bathed in eternal darkness?

The idea of living in perpetual darkness is nightmarish. It is bleak and depressing. It is terrifying! I wanted to explore the possibility of what such a land might be like, what horrors its people faced everyday, how they would cope.
