Amazon lists this as a LGBT book ( #153 in LGBT Fantasy). Is that incorrect? Or is this a "general fantasy" with a lesbian character?

I believe the mc is bi in, like, the last book of the series, but there's no sign of it in the first book. And the plot of the last book is apparently the mc cheating on her boyfriend with a woman, so I wouldn't bother with it.

If you want lgbt fantasy, try Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson, In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan.(less)
