No, because being gay is a sexual orientation, not a gender identity, which are two different things.
When a person transitions ( whether surgically or not), they are men or women ( or nonbinary or on the spectrum, but here gets more complicated). To make it easier: gay/straight/bi/ace/aro is what you like, being trans is who you are.

First of all, this question isn't about the book as a whole, second of all, of course not. Being transgender means that you felt uncomfortable as the previous gender therefore if you were like Grayson then being trans doesn't mean you like guys. If Grayson felt like a girl then they are a girl meaning they can't be gay as gay means you like the same gender. Although there is nothing wrong with being gay, transgender is not homosexual.

Funny question. No. It means you identify as the gender your body wasn't assigned to at birth, meaning if you were born male, you identify as female or vice versa if you're trans. Some people struggle with knowing this: Trans women are women and trans men are men. If being trans ment you were automatically homosexual, I'd be really confused now that I think about it. But like Sara said, your gender has MINIMAL effect on your sexuality. Bisexual and pansexual transgender people exist, so do heterosexual and asexual trans people. And like Lily said, being transgender does not make automatically homosexual.
