Create opportunities to write. I don't remember the last time I had a day without some sort of writing. Write what interests you. Write your passions. Write your life. Write for fun. Write for pay. VALUE your writing - I believe in charitable work, but I also believe we have to value ourselves enough to expect to be paid for it. If we don't value our writing, why would anyone else?
That said, I also believe in living a balanced life. Find those things that make you feel most alive and do them regularly. I find anything that stimulates my creativity tends to lead to really strong writing.
