Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Charish Reid The Write Escape was inspired by a month-long trip to Ireland. The trip was originally meant to chaperone a group of college students, but my husband and I got to leave them after two weeks and do our own thing. From Tully Cross, to Galway (both in the book), to Dingle, and finally Limerick, I fell in love with the land and the people. As a black woman from the South, I have never felt so welcomed by a European country until I went to Ireland. I hope that comes across in my book. It's my love letter to my husband's motherland.
