Goodreads asked Rajavelu T:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Rajavelu T Being a writer, you are omnipotent in your own world.

You can be anything you want. You can create anything you want in your own world.

Few people need drugs and alcohol to break their stress, but a writer don't need any of that, just a paper and a pen is enough.

You can travel to cities, countries, even beyond the milky way across the galaxies with just a paper and a pen.

They are our passport, they are our teleportation devices.

When being a writer, you don't react to people, you respond.

You look at everything with a keen eye. You look for interesting characters and peculiar stories through the people you meet.

You'll talk less, and observe more.

By that you'll see the true colors of your surroundings.

Being a writer is like living simultaneously in two different worlds.

The first world is around you, the second world is inside you. And you realize you are addicted to the second one.
