Shelby Crossno White Fang can be graphic and I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. At the least age, I would suggest 13.

What makes it for the more older kids is that the build-up of the story takes a bit of time and the writing is older. I would defiantly recommend this for kids that like wolves but have the patients analyze the text. (like previously stated at the least 13).
But what a kid likes can change the whole view of the book. Wouldn't recommend it for kids who want a constant illustration or who don't typically like older style writing. (less)
