Georgy Kolotov
Georgy Kolotov asked J. Zachary Pike:

Dear Mr. Pike, I have just finished listening to "Orconomics", wanted to give you some impressions. Mostly, I liked the book - the plot was interesting, the characters believable. Liked your humor, too, except for the part where you made the same mistake D. Adams frequently did: don't explain your jokes. Don't you respect the reader enough to believe he'll understand it on his own? [continued]

J. Zachary Pike Thanks Georgy. I don't know if I'd characterize the style of Douglas Adams as a "mistake," given his genre-defining international success. Certainly none of my stylistic choices are intended as disrespectful to anyone. I enjoyed Mr. Adams writing immensely; I believe his longer passages are part of the humor rather than "explaining the joke." That was my intention as well.
