Why do struggle to finish this novel? This is the third time I have stalled out more than half way through. I just can't seem to care about this family...tell me: should I tough it out?

Once you deci…moreI just finished this book last week, and I agree– it's tough to get through. By the time I finished it, and in retrospect, I enjoyed it. Once you decide to sit back and enjoy the author's prose and go with the flow of the book, I think you will enjoy it. It's a lot easier to read it and look back and say, "Oh yeah! Now I get it."(less)
