How do you get inspired to write?

Stacey Brown Randall I’ll be honest – deadlines help. I find that creating space to write with firm deadlines inspires and motivates me the most. I am not one of those who can get up an hour earlier to write for an hour a day. I need large blocks of time. For example, I created the chapter outline with a basic overview of what would be in each chapter and then took a week away from my family, holed up in the mountains and wrote morning, noon and night. I came back with seven chapters done.

And when the writing became hard and difficult, I focused on knowing that my book would help people all over the world in a way that my blog, podcast or videos may not reach. It’s cool knowing that the circle I have the privilege to influence is bigger than just the US.
