I'm working on taking care of what I write. In the past I used to treat each book like a full-grown adult -- as if once it is written, it should just be able to take care of itself. Now I'm starting to see that publication is like having a baby. It's the start of a book's life, not the end. And each book needs support to grow into what it can be.
