Goodreads asked Alandra Knight:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Alandra Knight The best advice I was ever given was by a few different authors not just for the writing side, but for life in general. first one, is probably most important, is that you have to write for you, write what makes you happy. Because once you start to write what others want you to write, it's not your work anymore because it becomes something to someone else. Advice #2 the author said, look, no matter what you do, what you write, what you say someone somewhere is going to hate...so do your own thing and let the rest fall into place. advice #3 was You need to follow your own path even if that means creating it as you go.
#4 Always remember who you are, where you came from. #5 Be careful when you follow the masses most of the time the M is silent. and last but the most important, "You only fail if you don't try. You NEVER fail if you do not succeed, you just find ways that don't work. NEVER give up and when you feel like giving up, remember why you started to begin with.
