Mark Lee Gardner I'm afraid that's a myth. Part of Garrett's success in hunting down the Kid came from the fact that he knew the land and its people. Garrett would be a fish out of water in Missouri.

Hello Mark, saw you in AMC's 8 part series The West. Also I am nearly done with your Shot All to Hell. Who would you say was the de facto leader of the Cole Younger and Jesse James Gang? Also who do you prefer Cliff Robertson or David Carradine as Cole Younger. They each seem to have a different approach to their choices on how to portray him. Also what's ur general feeling of the The Long Riders? Thanks!
