Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Cat Thomas The relationship between magic and technology is something that's always intrigued me. It occurred to me that if mythical, folkloric characters turned up in contemporary Britain (like King Arthur's supposed to do when we really, really need him), digital technology might not be the thing they find most alien. So I set the novel in the near future, to stretch the technological possibilities, imagined how religion might have changed - and away I went.
