What kind of education did Georgie have? Could she have gone on to an "Oxbridge" type of school or was Les Oiseaux merely a finishing school for upper class girls to prep for a good marriage? In one of the books she mentions that she would have liked to go on to a university but that it had not been offered to her, but her descriptions of Les Oiseaux do not sound "college prep".

She had a usual education for a girl of her class. A governess at home until finishing school in Switzerland. It was assumed she'd never have to get a job so only needed social skills.
