Goodreads asked B. Celeste:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

B. Celeste I've realized lately that if you want to lose yourself in your writing, it has to be a book you truly WANT to write. Not a book that [might] sell because the genre is popular. I live off this Beverly Clearly quote:

"If you don't see the book you want on the shelf, write it."

When you do that, you'll figure out where your niche is and invest in it, rather than worrying about what trope is popular in the world. It always changes, so be that change!
