Through no fault of …moreI can understand it because many Dickens characters are lost, forgotten, abused and out of step with the communities around them. Through no fault of his own, Theo is essentially a child on his own, getting into many unusual situations, operating on the fringes of normalcy with society. I've not finished the book yet but it seems that his relentless spirit keeps him on his feet and resilient which is like some Dickens characters. I hope the conclusion maintains this and I am not disappointed in the end.(less)
