How is "A Dog's Way Home" related to a dogs purpose? And why do you make these books?

Well, I suppose they are related in that they are both told from the point of view of a dog and they're both written by the same person. Otherwise, they're not really related at all. I tried to bring to each dog character a unique personality and not have them all sound like they are the same character. That's not easy to do, because dogs share something in common: they're happy all the time. Human beings are easier because we can be depressed, angry, sad, joyous. Dogs, mostly, are just joyous.
