It's Tim Janis. Jessica Hindman's name is even in the closing credits of the Beautiful America PBS special.

Watching Gerald's linked video, it seems to fit. I definitely see the velociraptor smile that I thought was an exaggeration. And one of the violinists looks like her description of Yvgeny.

i never heard of time janis, and thought it might be someone named foster, but i don't want to get sued. some people like his music, and probably some people like tim janis's music.

Over on that site that sells a bunch of books, it is alledged that it’s the Tim Janis Ensemble. I’ve never heard of him/them.
