At one point the author describes what sounds like Etta having a miscarriage. She goes into the bushes after dancing with Russell and there is a lot of blood. She throws away her green dress. Does anyone else remember this passage and interpret it the same way? If this is so, it would likely be Otto's child since anything shenanigans that Etta and Russell got up to would have been too soon I think.
