Although I am aware that you wish to challenge yourself with different plots and ideas within novels, I have a rather optimistic question: is there any possibility of writing more loop-murder-mystery? Perhaps the Plague Doctor is a reoccurring character that visits every 'detective' as he/she shift through the hosts? Now, climaxing into the most preposterous wish of all, is there ANY possibility of a series?

Hey Leo! I'm so glad you enjoyed the book enough to want to read more of these style mysteries. I'm afraid there won't be any more by me. I have to move on to something new otherwise I get grumpy :) It does seem like Groundhog Day stories are having a moment though, so there are probably other authors doing something similar to this. I wouldn't be surprised if things start turning up within the year.

Huge fan of your work. I discovered your work through my book club with the book The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. We just loved it! We were all following each other's reading and making schemes to discover the killer. Until the first one who read the whole book said "forget everything". Now i have read The Devil and the Dark Water. I´m so ready for the next book! It´s coming soon?

Hello! In "The Devil and the Dark Water", when the governor general discovered that the Folly had been stolen, it's been said that the mark moved. "The eye bulged and the tail twisted away." Since the threat of Old Tom was faked the whole time, how did the mark move? There was one more instance of the mark moving but it was a rumour among the sailors so I dismissed it. Could this also be an illusion of a scared mind?
