(view spoiler)[Do you think you'd ever write a novel solely from the perspective of a villain or at least an anti hero? You write them so well. When Konstantin realizes the Bear lied about God being fake and kills himself, I cried and I don't know why. Him and the Bear were so despicable yet so well written. I couldn't help feeling empathy for them. And also, the Bear was witty and admittedly made me laugh a time or two lol. (hide spoiler)]

Hm. I don't know. Maybe? I really like writing in third person omniscient, which lets me move between perspectives (like having multiple cameras to shoot a film) so I guess the bigger question is whether or not I'd ever write a book solely from one person's perspective.
I try not to think of characters as villains or heroes. Just as people. Which is why, even if they do bad things, they can still be relatable. I won't stop doing that. But I don't know if I'd want to spend a whole book in the head of someone like Konstantin. With some people, a short time in their mental space goes a long way.
But if I had a really ambiguous character that I was confident I'd want to spend a whole book with? I'd do it.

Hi Katherine, I just finished the "Winter of the Witch" and I just loved the whole series, especially the magical realms and stories of the chyerti. Just thought I would pass along how much I would LOVE to read a collection of stories about the realm you've created/adapted. Between the Midnight Road and the House by the Lake, the possibilities seem endless. Have you ever considered it?
