It seems to me we live in a time when it is imperative to discern answers to life by using all our senses and not trying to only use traditional intelligence to find answers. Our world is more complex than ever , and ending a story which entails a certain air of violence around the characters made total sense to me. The people are sadly surrounded b a violent world, (as we all are ) and for the author to write a happier ending is not her zeitgeist at this time, I feel. I thank the author for writing something for people to think hard about., it is not always enjoyed by everyone to be so obtuse but it is often a strong element in worthy art.(less)
