I love this question, Bethani! My advice for future authors is to read good books from many different time periods and genres; analyze what you read and what makes it so good so you can implement it in your own writing; and don't stress about whether or not your writing is "good enough". Write to enjoy and to practice, and you can worry about good enough when it's time to publish something. ;)
