Can anyone advise if they think this book would be suitable for an 11 year old? I'm thinking of buying it for my nephew, but I haven't read it myself yet. He reads a lot and loves sci-fi and fantasy - but I'm wondering whether the content might be a bit too dark? Thanks

I would advise caution. This is a fairly adult book with some fairly candid coverage of sex and violence. It also has themes around gender that might be difficult for an 11 year old to grok. It's not an easy read, and might raise a lot of questions. My instinct would be to wait a few more years!
