Question..is this book in any way reminiscent of The Handmaid's Tale? I immensely enjoyed reading it and have purchased Alias Grace, but am unsure of how to set the tone in my mind to get "ready" for the reading.

However, Alias Grace is first imprisoned by the limitations of choice, then actually imprisoned behind steel bars.
The Handmaid's Tale is a dystopian story and Alias Grace is written in the form of a memoir/historical story since it is based on true events.
