Alex Nye
The author of the classic book The Silver Sword used to walk on the moors a lot, and that's where he got his ideas. I'm the same, and I'm sure other writers are too. I feel inspired when I'm walking the dog in the countryside. The trick is to have a notebook handy or to remember the ideas. I rarely feel inspired when I'm sitting staring at a piece of modern technology like a laptop. Forests of birch trees are more appealing.
