Hi Stuart, Thank you for a wonderful book! Could not get enough of it as I was reading, and had to finish it in a couple of days. I found it amusing that while reading the part at the end when you say you hope this keeps us up until 2am I looked at the clock and it read '5:22am'. Q: Did you do it on purpose that Daniel tells Aiden something logically impossible, namely that he heard something at dinner last night?

So I’m curious about the reading guide question you included in the back of the book: Where does the 1/2 death enter the narrative? Is this a trick question and you only changed the title because of 7 Husbands of Evelyn? I need to know 😅 Also I’m definitely reading your next book!

Stuart Turton:
I found some kind of anchor in Evelyn Hardcastle's "Seven Dead" to her latest book "The Devil and the Dark Water". In fact, in the list of experiments, cited by the plague doctor, there is a reference to a ship of the past centuries and other experiments are listed (which alas I do not remember). Should we expect a Turton universe where everything is connected?
