I am an enormous fan of DC Barbara Havers, and having just re-read “The Punishment She Deserves”, I am eager to read Lynley book #21 upon its release in May 2021. The problem is, I cannot find it available for pre-order. In fact, it’s not being plugged on your own Web site or on your publisher’s. Are you able to recommend a site or two where I might pre-order this book? The Poisoned Pen, Barnes & Noble? Thank you!

Many people say the tone of the books changed once Lady Helen Clyde was killed. (I applaud that decision; there aren't many authors who have the courage to do that.) Some say they became darker, more convoluted, and quite a bit longer, and the character of Lynley changed as well (of course). Do you, yourself notice this change, and did you intend it? Or is it an organic outgrowth of what came before?
