Kasie West Thank you for loving my books! And I'm so happy to hear that I'm your favorite author. That makes my day! Yes, I was active in 2012. I sold my very first book in 2011 even though it didn't come out until 2013. I haven't read Justina's book yet, but it's on my TBR list and definitely one I want to. And I feel like I do tackle real world issues of today in my books. I have a book that talks about anxiety, one that addresses social media addiction, one about podcasts, one about the movie industry, etc. But I also like to address timeless issues, like discovering who you are, who you want to be, who true friends are, how to deal with new emotions, etc. That said, my books aren't issue driven books. My books are light and fluffy romances and I tend to keep them that way. MAYBE THIS TIME took a few months to write and then several more to edit. Yes, after MAYBE THIS TIME, I have another book under contract that will come out in February 2020. It doesn't have a title yet, but it's been written. I don't plan to retire any time soon, but I might slow down a bit. I might go down to 1 book a year for a little while instead of the 2 that I've been doing. We'll see. Advice to get through life? One day at a time? Hang in there. Think of 5 positive things that happened each day before letting your mind think of all the negative things. How to accomplish dreams? Practice practice practice. Be willing to fail and keep going. Be willing to see that there is more than one way to accomplish a dream. In other words, it doesn't have to go exactly how you picture it. Enjoy all the moments leading up to your dream. Work hard but have fun!
