Donna According to the 1880 census she's a year old, which would make her 10 at the time of the story. Then, in her flashback, which I thought was from the day she died, she said she was 6. Later she says she's 9 and was born in February 1880. It's very comfusing.

Steph Lovelady I noticed that discrepancy, too. At one point she's six and then she's nine, without time seeming to have elapsed. But maybe the part when she was six was a flashback and it just wasn't clear.

Sameer Her birthdate seems to be June 1, 1889 or that's the date she died. but the oldest she's shown is 9. However when she meets Jules she thinks of 13 year old Jules as way too tall or much older.

So she might be younger than 9.
