What's the significance of the paper clips? I feel like I missed something when they go to the gallery opening and Nora's painting features a crown of paper clips.

Danielle When Nora first encountered Ranco in an art class, he dawned a crown of paper clips. She felt immediately drawn to his eccentricity and wanted to paint him--and fell in love with him. So, I think she was paying homage to that part of him in the portrait she painted.
Katherine I think because he put a crown of paper lips on for Nora, so it makes the portrait hers. He would have been wearing it in her memory, but the fact that she was the artist of that portrait was a secret. There may be more to it, but that’s what I got.
