Where do your ideas for a book or characters come from? Do you just get an idea pop into your head & go from there, or does a particular life event inspire you?

My ideas come from all over. Sometimes it will be an event in the news. Sometimes it will be a personal situation. Sometimes it will be a piece of history I stumble across. My characters form as I write them, like blurry figures that come into focus as the story progresses.

I ONCE READ AN ARTICLE ABOUT THOMAS JEFFERSON THAT INDICATED HE HAD MANY DIFFERENT JOBS, INCLUDING HE WAS AN AUTHOR, A LEGISLATOR, FARMER, WINE MAKER, AND A FEW MORE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER AT THE MOMENT.
