Is this a good choice to start into Philip K Dick's short fiction? I've read a number of PKD's novels (Man in the High Castle, Ubik, A Scanner Darkly, VALIS) but have never delved into his extensive short story oeuvre. Is this a strong collection or are there other anthologies that bring together more of his strongest work?

Oh yes, very much so. I will say though that I have read now 4 of the 5 volumes of PKD's short stories and all of the stories are good.

I have become.a fan of short stories recently. If written well, I find they can give me a glimpse into a new world, and that this glimpse often leaves me thinking about the world in a longer and deeper way thank an extensive novel. I find this true for this collection. Some concepts and half-explained ideas have jumped back into my thoughts over the last days and nights. Enjoy!
