I'm 75% of the way through this book and am really struggling with it. I'm finding it incredibly drawn out for little reward - is it worth finishing?

After p. 650, or so, I ended up skimming quite a bit of the mini-chapters in an effort to surf overtop of the story and just follow the main plot. I didn't really want to read one more drug-induced or fever-riddled description of Theo's thoughts and regrets and many bad decisions.(less)
