A Goodreads user asked Adam Howe:

Sir Howe, I re-read the Die dog or eat the hatchet section of your book DDOETH. I noticed a bit of head hopping in some chapters. In one particular chapter dedicated to Terry's standpoint, we see that you give us a perspective of Little Cyril for a paragraph and a half. Is it something, that you noticed but let it pass for an artistic reason. Or is it something that completely slipped from under the radar?

Adam Howe Chim-Chimmeny, Chim-Chimmeny, Chim-Chim, Chiree... My #1 fan is a Nepali! How goes it, brother? ... It's hard for me to cast my mind back quite that far, and recall exactly what I was thinking when I wrote Die Dog. I did aim to keep the points-of-view focused on Tilly, the Ritter bros, and Hingle. If I slipped into other POVs on occasion, most likely it was an oversight... so we'll say the reason was artistic. Definitely. And open to reader interpretation. ;)
