(view spoiler)[Hi Jeff,
Thank you for writing such a compelling tribute to the life of Rob (and Jackie) Peace. You weave the gamut of your emotions into a poignant and infuriatingly real narrative that opened my eyes to the complexity of Rob’s choices and the circumstances beyond his control. Do you think Jackie knew what Carl did at the time? And was staying with Jackie Carl’s way of replacing Rob as man of the house? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Hi and thank you very much for the kind words and reaching out about Rob's story. It means an awful lot--for real. (And I'm sorry for the delay--I really am not on social websites but am trying to be more often as my next book, called Show Them You're Good, comes out in August.) Jackie definitely did not know about Rob and Carl's relationship, and certainly not about the money situation. He was very skilled at keeping his life compartmentalized that way. As for the latter question, I really tried not to psychoanalyze anyone too much during the writing of this book, if that makes sense, so I can't truly answer it. Apologies, and all the best, Jeff (hide spoiler)]

Great Book. I listened to it on audible. 1.Do you foresee it being turned into a movie? 2. Did Rob selling drugs through your dorm room and apartment ever create a conflict between him and you or ty. Did you never worry about a blemish on your records if he was caught by the Police? 4. Did Jackie Peace really never had any suspicion that his son was dealing drugs, or was using them as much as he was?

Had Carl not stolen his ill gotten gains, do you think he would have changed his path? I have A LOT of experience with marijuana users in my family and it does make you lazy. Was it easier to deal than find a real job, before or after teaching? And as someone once told me, I was book smart but life naive. Did that fit Rob? Not to speak ill of him. He in no way deserved this. I saw the Carl thing coming?
