(view spoiler)[Hi Jeff,
Thank you for writing such a compelling tribute to the life of Rob (and Jackie) Peace. You weave the gamut of your emotions into a poignant and infuriatingly real narrative that opened my eyes to the complexity of Rob’s choices and the circumstances beyond his control. Do you think Jackie knew what Carl did at the time? And was staying with Jackie Carl’s way of replacing Rob as man of the house? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Hi and thank you very much for the kind words and reaching out about Rob's story. It means an awful lot--for real. (And I'm sorry for the delay--I really am not on social websites but am trying to be more often as my next book, called Show Them You're Good, comes out in August.) Jackie definitely did not know about Rob and Carl's relationship, and certainly not about the money situation. He was very skilled at keeping his life compartmentalized that way. As for the latter question, I really tried not to psychoanalyze anyone too much during the writing of this book, if that makes sense, so I can't truly answer it. Apologies, and all the best, Jeff (hide spoiler)]

Hi Jeff, I do not really have a question. I just finished reading the book, and I have many different feelings about the story itself as well as about the end. I just wanted to say that I loved it and that I am definitely taking something from it with me. Thank you! Melisa Marcon (?) I just wrote the question mark because otherwise my comment would be sent. Sorry about that.

I finished this book three nights ago. I feel this book carries several themes throughout but for me I felt love was one of the strongest... the love between Jackie and Rob, the love Rob had for his friends, his friends for him and the love you had for your roommate. So my question is what is the status of the rift between Jackie and the Burger Boyz? How are they doing?

How would you like to write a picture book or intermediate book about Peace's life and death? The story you wrote is powerful.
