Keesha I said the same in my review. I liked the first half, which was like a Lifetime movie (love those crazy things). But after the verdict it seemed to become a totally different book to me. It didn't make sense that Connie would kill her BEFORE she received the money. Who would do that? 50 Million? Was he supposed to be so crazy that he didn't care about the money for some reason?
I also thought the prison part was weird. If the guards were going to put him in with the guy with the shank, why would they beat him up first themselves? They could have just arranged for the two of them to be alone before giving him time to call his lawyer.
I gave it 3 stars though, since it definitely held my interest.
Jean St.Amand The last 90 pages of this book make NO sense. It would have been a good idea to find out, from the counselor, that the girl they thought was Anna was an imposter, but the author just totally bungled the end of the story.

Alicia L. Johnson I couldn’t agree more-ridiculous ending!
