How old were you when you started writing? What was your first published book?

April Henry I started writing in fourth or fifth grade, then stopped when it seemed impossible for a poor girl from a logging town to be a writer. I started writing again when I was about 30. My first book was called Circles of Confusion, and it came out in 1999.
