Rachel Renée Russell Hi Zehra, I'm so glad that you're such a BIG fan!! I've always loved writing, but my family definitely inspired me to write Dork Diaries. Both of my daughters were bullied when they were growing up, so the idea came from REAL life! I wanted to make a story where the main character faced similar challenges as my daughters, but I wanted to show everyone that it's possible to not be brought down by a bully's actions!
