How do you get inspired to write?

C.M. Lowe Lately, it's been a matter of researching topics I think are interesting. I watch a lot of true crime shows, listen to true crime podcasts, and read a ton of Stephen King. The good thing is inspiration can come from anywhere. I formed the idea for an entire novel I'd still love to write someday from a lamp I saw while walking across campus in college. I like to find the smallest detail possible in my current surroundings and see what kind of story I can create from there.
