Hi Lizzy, I was wondering how writing this novel has impacted you personally in your own journey. With the publication date only a few months away, what are you hoping readers will take away from it?

I think a lot of teens will see someone they know in this book. Maybe even themselves. But I hope The Art of Losing inspires them to avoid drugs and alcohol, or at least use them responsibly, and helps them to better understand those who can’t. But I also hope it teaches them to stand up for themselves and demand respect from the people they love.

Struggling to come up with a good question, when what I want to ask is, can you send me this book asap? I love the poem The Art of Losing btw. I'm wondering how difficult it was to write this book since you were so close to the subject matter and whether it was hard to keep from the book going into a "preachy" direction. The subject matter is so important.
