Goodreads asked Anthony Russo:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Anthony Russo The best advice I heard for dealing with writers block is to do the following:

No matter what the setting or what is happening...A monster crashes through the window!!!

How would my characters in the current scene react? It's a fun way to get writing because you know they are going to do something. The brave will fight, with swords, lasers, guns, or fists...depending on the stories setting and what is going on at the time. The fearful will hide or run. Who will scream? Who will curse? Who would die?

It's fun to write all this out and in honesty it gets trashed, but gets the creative juices flowing again so I can get back to the real scene and move the plot along.
