Sam asked:

is this book easy to understand for someone who doesn't have much knowledge of cosmology or astrophysics?

Diego Fernández Of course, it needn't knowledge about cosmology and astrophysics. He's good at teaching you by reading. I highly recommend you read this book and his other boo Hawking changed my life and he's my rock star despite we have different disability. :)

You'll enjoy for sure and hopes it be of your great. :D
Garry The book is written in such a way as to provide examples that we can relate to when describing complex theories. One of the great attributes of Stephen Hawking was making these concepts relate-able but not dumbed down.
Fantastic book.
Vilma Pretty much! I had to google some terminology while reading, but otherwise I think this is very well written through examples which makes it so much easier to understand complex thoughts!
Ignacio Azpiazu In my opinion, of all of his books, this is the more easy to read
Suzan In addition to the superpowers Dr. Hawking possessed, I like to think of him as the perfect professor for a technically challenged student of Physics ... yours truly. I have understood through his explanations and analogies.
Anncoop Yes, this book is easy to read, you don't need additional knowledge at cosmology or astrophysics. But if you will have some questions during reading it you can find out more at Google. But what I have to say that you definitely need to read it.
Erin Absolutely! Hawking gives plenty of examples, comparisons and analogies to help you understand. I could follow easily and I have very limited knowledge.
