Wendy asked Gary Dejean:

Gary a good book that would make a great screenplay for a movie. Will you continue this story line or are you working on something else? Keep up your writing...

Gary Dejean Hi Wendy, thanks for your question.

I am currently gathering thoughts for a sequel set 30 years after the events of H+ incorporated, where the main characters of this book would be featured as secondary characters.

The nature of this project having to do with bridging real life issues with problems foreseen by science-fiction, I want to tackle other aspects of the transformation of the human condition than those at play in this book.

Specifically, I'll be focusing on organ cloning, microscopic robots in the bloodstream, CRISPR style genetic modification (ie: modification of the genome by the individual carrying said genome, as opposed to genetic manipulation at birth), and the unfreezing of cryogenically preserved individuals.

These are all topics that, such as cybernetics, raise questions having as much to do with human rights as they do with consumer rights, and I'm looking forward to put my own spin on that. At the time however, it is difficult to envision this future which is more distant than that of this first novel, without falling into plain sci-fi territory, and I need to read more of the classics having already dealt with these topics before I can cover them myself.

I hope you'll be interested in this sequel if/when it comes out.

Cheers!
Gary
