Lizzi asked April Henry:

I don't really have a question, just a comment, but I don't see a place for comments? just questions... anyway, I'm not sure how I have missed your books for so long, but I am SO GLAD I have stumbled upon them. I started with "Girl, Stolen." It was at my school's book fair (I teach middle school), so I bought it. I finished that quickly and now I am reading all my school's library has. Thank you for writing!!!!!!

April Henry My goal is to make people love reading. Girl, Stolen was inspired by something that really happened locally - a blind girl was accidentally kidnapped when her folks left the keys in the car in case she got cold and they were running errands. In real life, he her go after about 15 minutes - but I saw her interviewed on TV the next day and knew immediately it would be a great beginning to a book. Doing all the research into blindness was so fascinating!
