Where did all your ideas for books come from? Which book do you want to be made into a movie?

Gail Carson Levine Many of my ideas come from fairy tales and from the creatures that are found in them. I'd especially love for DAVE AT NIGHT to be a movie.

I was working on a first draft for NaNoWriMo, and now I just went to revise it, but I just realized that working on the draft just made me feel a whole bunch of dread and made me wanna scream and stuff... Hi there! I was wondering, do you have any tips on keeping your “style” of writing consistent? In your Writing Magic book you said your voice would change from scene to scene, but I also found that my voice changes depending on what book I’m reading. It is sometimes kind of frustrating, because if I’m reading a book with a style that I don’t like much, it tends to leak into my writing too. Thanks for your time!
