I'm a fan from the Kingdom and I didn't know there was a play adaptation of Midwives. I will google right now. Also, which books are the TV series based on?

Chris Bohjalian There are two stage adaptations of MIDWIVES. There is the one that my great friend, Dana Yeaton wrote, that was produced between 2000 and 2006. And then there is the brand new one I wrote this year that will have its premiere next year. Stay tuned. I am meeting tonight with the artistic director of the theater and the Tony-nominated director who will be directing it!

I hope you don't mind but I used you in a conversation about a Hitler biography with a fellow Goodreads member. I was trying to point out that Hitler was not the sole believer in genocide. That there were many other occurrences throughout history. Have you considered writing an actual nonfiction account of the Armenian Genocide or is there one already in existence that you would recommend?

Reading "The Sleep Walker" & loving it. Early in the book when describing the mother's abandoned room, a book as "a beautiful black-and-silver doorstop of a novel about Marilyn Monroe, . . ." Were you referring to the novel by Joyce Carol Oates?

I'm sure I'm not alone in not grasping the horror of sex slavery before reading The Guest Room and your insight was well researched as well as eye-opening. The control of these young people is stunning as to steps taken to secure their continued obedience. Any chance of writing a follow up on Alexandra? It seems her tale may just be beginning!
