Is this book suitable for young teens? I'm looking for a book that could give young teenage girls an idea of transgender issues, transition etc.

Zenobia July by Lisa Bunker (young teen trans protagonist, written by trans author), might be a good one, though it is not super focusing on transgender issues & transition. Just a trans character that happens to be recently transitioned, but that’s not the focus of the story. Which, is great, to be honest, and we need more of it. (One thing I like about Nevada, too, but Nevada is probably not the book you are looking for, for the reasons others mention.) Zenobia July has appropriate content for young teen audiences, even sheltered ones.
