Melanie asked this question about Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones:
How many habits can you work on at once? If I alter my habits sequentially a lot of habits will be put on the back burner. Thanks!

Whether good or bad, it is always easier to visualize a habit when we look at its negative counterparts. i.e. let's analyze habits by focussing on bad habits. (this is true for any other concept in general, looking at negative makes it easier to understand and then interpolate to the positive side). A man who is addicted to alcohol, often finds it easy to get addicted to weed, and a man who is addicted to weed also runs after cocaine and LSD, So yes, it is possible to get addicted to more than one habit at a time, given that both of the are related. In this case both are drugs, and once you get addicted to one drug, the other is only an extension of this drug. So let's look at the positive habits, if you are exercising or if you are addicted to the gym, it is easy for you to get addicted to yoga! because of them fall in the same category. Getting addicted to swimming is also another extension to these two addictions, but the other addiction i.e. swimming depends on the availability of a water pool. Now getting addicted to exercise will not really help you get addicted to reading books! unfortunately since these two are not related. But if you are addicted to reading books, then it is easier for you to get addicted to writing articles, because it is a natural extension to the previous addiction. Then you can be addicted to typing and blogging. You can go further and get addicted to reading, i.e. recording, dubbing etc... Thus it is important to understand that you can be addicted to more than one work at a time. It is also in great interest for you to do so. If you are addicted to coding, you might be making some serious cash! (less)
